Typical Ray Takeyh Suggestion

It comes as no surprise to read Ray Takeyh's latest article in the Financial Times, where true to his typical ways he tries to knock down a potentially effective action against the Islamic Republic, that of designating Iran’s Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organisation, and instead suggesting some mumbo jumbo of "comprehensive dialogue encompassing the totality of differences between Islamic Republic and the US to arrive at some common perspective....". In other words lets buy Islamic Republic more time, the pivotal objective of Takeyh's hidden agenda and that of his gang.

Seyyed Hossein Nasr's mafia has done so well in the past to confuse the hell out of the US State Department about Iran. During my IVLP visit to US last Novemeber, we had a meeting at the US State Department. We were told that the US does not have a policy of regime change in Iran, instead the US policy is changing the behaviour of the Islamic regime! So I asked, "OK, how do you intend to change the regime's behaviour?" The reply was, "we have a website" :)) and what a load of bollocks that website was.

Desperately trying hard to hold back my laughter at such naivety and stupidity, I felt like leaving the meeting there and then and saying "Good luck with changing the regime's behaviour through your website". Seyyed Hossein Nasr's tentacle of "Iran Experts" had done a very good job of influencing such idiotic policies at the State department.

I wonder if 10 months further since our IVLP visit, Hossein Nasr, his son Vali, Ray Takeyh and the rest of this IRI sponsored mafia can still pose themselves as unbiased "Iran experts". If so, we have some very dangerous times ahead.

Okay... We know these mafia members are out there doing what they can. Well, what do we ought to do rather than getting angry at them?!? I am sick and tired of these regime agents in UK and USA but we can't just KILL them, right? So we gotta do something about them and render them useless.

The fact is that the US State Dept officials have a huge knowledge gap about Iran. So all we can do is educate them and expose the likes of Seyyed Hossein Nasr. We have to tell them how a 12 day commemoration was held for Nasr in Iran. We need to cut through his cover of Sufi philosophy, and expose him and his proteges and their hidden agenda. Thats all we can do.

Beautifully expressed by Daii about Takeyh:
"The tactic for CFR and Dr. Takeyh is to fuel a permanent hope that the Iranian power structure is experiencing a self-transformation to a more pragmatic regime that will eventually accommodate international norms. For these pro-Tehran champions, whatever happens in Iran, there would be a pragmatic faction ready to have a deal with the U.S! "

To assert that Seyyed Hossein Nasr is an undercover agent of Iranian Revolutionaries, and that there is some "mafia" working to mislead the State Dept is absurd even if taken as hyperbole.

This prattle reflects the frustration of an unthinking secularist mob when confronted with a sustained critique of their understanding of human nature and the philosophy that underpins the numerous assumptions they hold about progress, modernity, and religion.

10:31 Anonymous,

So how do you explain 12 days of commemoration for Seyyed Hossein Nasr in Islamic Republic and Nasr's close ties with Ghahreman Safavi, etc...

How do you explain their constant tactics to buy Islamic Republic time?
