Press TV, today claimed the broadcast of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Broadcasting (IRIB) international channels on the Hotbird satellite provider were interrupted for two hours by jamming signals sent from an unknown location. Not sure whether this really happened or this is yet another Press TV made up story to win another prestigious award in the special category of cock and bull news stories.
The very first paragraph states the jamming signals were sent from an 'unknown location', which does not sound right. Hotbird providers will be able to pinpoint the source that sends jamming signals quite easily and if the jamming was not local and aimed at the satellite platform itself, it would affect other channels in the same bouquet of transmission frequencies, but the Press TV story does not mention the other non-IRIB channels affected.
Whether the story is true or not however, how would you sum up the IRIB/Press TV audacity in whining about this? Funded and controlled by a state which has led the jamming of other satellite channels, a state that sends its agents to burst into people's homes and destroy their satellite dishes and receiver equipments and deployed whatever means it can to deny the people of Iran their right to access free information, who are they to complain about 'two hours of jamming' that they have not even been able to substantiate?
What are the appropriate phrases that come to mind? Poetic Justice? Virtue Rewarded? Getting a taste of their own medicine?.......

Whether they were jammed or not, sometimes it doesn't matter considering the easy ride the Regime constantly gets with the outside media. RT being the latest when talking to an Iranian Minister. Not one question was put to him about Iran's oppressive Regime nor their latest sham elections. All we got was the usual anti-U.S. and Zionist diatribe advert with Assad once again excused of all his atrocities because he's part of the 'Resistance' Again in the IRI's eyes, it's OK to commit the most foulest evil crimes on Earth as long as you hate Isreal eh? And that bigotry, bias and hate now reeks even more on PressTV's Comment pages. Now they are no longer under the watchful eye of OFCOM they don't have to pretend anymore. There are no more required token opposite arguments. It's now just full on Pro-Regime and Nazi-like hatred to all those that oppose it. Most Comments not being from the public of course, but rather from the Basiji Gestapo themselves protecting and rubber stamping their own propaganda news agenda's. Curiously when a number of 'Dislike's' started to overtake the 'Likes' concerning an Ahmandinejad speech, the 'Like's' suddenly jumped an unprecedented 3-fold! What A surprise! Ha. However, instead of jamming or even harking on about the Nuclear issue, what the outside media NOW MUST do is tackle these smug bastards on their appalling human rights records and insidious Regime tactics. Not just let them sit there touting out their smarmy Regime scripts with not one reporter questioning the glaring and obscene hypocrisy of their statements!
The best jamming is what you did with Kian Mokhtari Potkin. Make the Regime face squirm in front of an audience with home truths. I cannot understand why news outlets even with AlJazeera just let them off the hook?
Trying to apply reason or logic or sanity to anything the medieval regime says or does is completely fruitless. The rulers and their cohorts there are inhuman, savage, liars, and thieves. The nation must rise en masse against them.
