I was trying to catch up with the news on Iran today after being away for a week and I sincerely hope this news I came across is not true:
Foreign Policy Cable
It suggests that Vali Nasr is to advise U.S. Afghanistan/Pakistan envoy Amb. Richard Holbrooke and I also heard today that Vali Nasr has been asked to advise Obama on Iran!
Not surprisingly I see the name of Laura Rozen as a tag to the article who seems well pleased about the appointment of such an "Iran expert". If all this is true, it spells a big disaster, it means the Islamic Republic has got its foot right inside the White House! I wanted to leave a comment at the end of the article but others seem to have done it before me.
I think Vali Nasr's foot has been in the White House door for a while. He will now have both feet in the White House.
The politicians in Washington have NO IDEA how to tell the good guys from bad guys when it comes to Iran. It's pathetic.
I wouldn't believe a thing by Laura Rozen. But the notion that Vali Nasr is going to advise these monkeys is frightening in itself
Vali Nasr will be a good excuse as to the White Houses' PUBLIC reapproachment with the Mullah's - before they weren't able to publically kiss and make up, due to the public image the two entities had created since the 1979 Carter-supported Islamic takeover of Iran, however now they potentially will go ahead and seal the deal with their minion mullah's once and for all...
it seems that the situation isn't good at all for you lot.... No Neo-Con american adminstration means that you lot including your friend Fakhravar can go back to cab driving....or Pizaa shops...I heard that your loyal & royalist Friend Saman is no longer an activist..is it because he has understood that you guys are a waste of time ?!!! :)
It seems you are about as well informed and upto date as a pizza delivery boy.
Re Vali Nasr's appointment its not just the Neocon supporters who are aghast, see the website by the Iranian Leftist group:
